This week’s Top 5 Wednesday topic is Best Books Recommended To You. Scrolling through my Goodreads read shelf, though, I saw most of the books I’ve read in the past couple of years have been recommendations. That’s why I’ve decided to narrow if down to books recommended to me by my mother.

The end of January also means the end of my time in Canada, and for the first time in three (!) years I’m heading back home to Australia. For the foreseeable future. Exciting times! So in amongst the packing and ridding myself of the remaining contents of my apartment, here are the books I managed to read in January.
