When I review books, I write about the things that I liked or disliked the most. Not every book review will include the same features.
When I rate books, I do so based on how much I enjoyed reading that book at the time. I take into account everything including the writing, characters and the story, as well as how quickly I could get through the book and how it made me feel.
I am currently employing a 5 STAR rating system.
5 stars – New favourite; I intend on rereading this immediately
4 stars – Amazing; I will definitely be rereading in the future
3 stars – Really enjoyable; I’m glad I read it
2 stars – I might have skimmed to the end; I’m no better off for having read it
1 star – DNF
